Rubeana Doel is a Nurse Practitioner dedicated to preventative and holistic healthcare. Inspired by her mother and aunt—both compassionate nurses—she developed a deep appreciation for patient care from an early age. Her background as an athlete further shaped her understanding of health and wellness, reinforcing the importance of a proactive approach to well-being.
At the Village Health Clinic, Rubeana combines evidence-based medicine with a patient-centered, holistic approach. Her mission is to help individuals not only improve their health but also thrive in all aspects of their well-being.
She earned her BScN from McMaster University in 2019 and went on to complete her MScN and Nurse Practitioner training at D’Youville College in Buffalo. With clinical experience in primary care, OBGYN, psychiatry, and emergency medicine, she has worked in diverse healthcare settings. While she thrived in the high-intensity world of emergency medicine, she recognized a critical gap in the healthcare system—patients often sought treatment only after illness had taken hold. This realization fueled her passion for preventative care, empowering individuals to take control of their health before issues arise.
Outside of her professional life, Rubeana is an athlete at heart. She has a long-standing love for basketball and volleyball, continuing to play volleyball competitively. As an avid runner, she has completed a half marathon and is training for a full marathon. When she’s not focusing on health and fitness, she enjoys indulging in her passion for fashion—especially shoes!
