When I was 15 years old, I met a gentleman who would forever change the trajectory of my life. He was a Holistic & Functional Medicine Practitioner, the first of his kind that I had ever met. A family member was under his care for health concerns that were not being adequately addressed by our conventional medical system; a story that this gentleman was all too familiar with. As I watched him work, it always felt as though he knew things that nobody else could possibly know. To my frustration, my inquisitive nature was always met with reluctant & lacklustre responses. His unwillingness to engage further empowered my curiosity, and I vowed to find the answers myself. Thus began my infatuation with health, the human body, and at a larger scale, the human experience.

This obsession would eventually lead me to a career in Naturopathic Medicine, and a deep love for the practice of yoga. These disciplines have led me to better understand the connections that exist between the body, mind & spirit, and that it is only through harmonizing all three that we can achieve true health.

Yoga has taught me the weight of staying grounded & remaining present. It has taught me about gratitude, patience & trust. But most importantly, yoga has been there to comfort me in my darkest days. 

When I tell this story, I can’t help but think back to my experience all those years ago when my journey began. Through it all, I have learned two truths - we are all healers in our own right, and the knowledge that we gain throughout life does not inherently belong to us.

My goal is go beyond the simple exchange of knowledge and experience. It is to empower like-minded individuals to come together in becoming the best versions on themselves.
